Jenkins Design

Jenkins Design was founded in 2009 by Chris Jenkins, AIA to provide affordable, common sense design service on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and Northeastern North Carolina. We believe that architects have gained a reputation as being difficult to deal with and expensive. However, just about any project can benefit from some level of architectural design- simply seeing the proposed finished product on paper can alleviate untold confusion between owner and builder later.

Our design philosophy is one of simplicity, following regional examples that rely upon simple forms and locally available materials. Structures should be flexible enough to be modified over time as the occupant's needs change. Floorplans should be efficient and compact in order to save money and resources not only now, but in the future.
